DIY American Flag Collage

This collage is a wonderful way to celebrate the 4th of July! Use the items in your Rainbow Craft Kit to practice color matching and sorting as you create your own flag. Read below for a materials list and instructions!
Begin by cutting out the different sections of your flag from cardboard. It might be helpful to use a marker or pencil to draw them first! You will need to cut out a square for the blue section of your flag, and then several thin stripes! Lay these out on top of another piece of cardboard to see how they fit together. Trim any stripes that are too long, and then cut the background piece of cardboard to be the right size.
Open your Rainbow Craft Kit and search for blue and red items. Pick out the pieces you like and then begin to glue them onto your cardboard pieces! Glue blue items onto the cardboard square and red items onto the long, thin stripes. You can also use some of the star sequins in the kit to glue onto your blue section. Let the glue dry!
While your glue is drying, paint your background. Dip a large pom pom from your kit into white paint and stamp it onto your background piece to cover it with white. Let this piece dry.
Once all of your pieces are dry, put them together to make your flag! Glue your blue square in place and then your red stripes. Once this glue dries your flag collage is complete!
