DIY New Year's Eve Party Glasses

Chances are that you are staying in this New Year’s Eve, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still celebrate! And NYE party glasses are the perfect party accessory. This is a great craft to do with kids during a party that they can then wear as you count down to a new year. Bring on 2021!!

Materials

• Fuzzy sticks (our Arts and Crafts Supply Library will have everything you need!) 
• Pom poms 
• Glue 
• Any other things you want to add - sparkles, stickers, eyes, etc.
• Hot glue gun (REMINDER: exercise precaution and supervise kids when using a hot glue gun)

Directions

Step 1

Make basic glasses base - Form two fuzzy sticks into circles large enough to go around your eyes. Snip a piece of fuzzy stick and connect the two circles, making a nose bridge. Use two more fuzzy sticks to create the stems of the glasses, winding them around your ear to stay and trimming as necessary.

You can also cut two circles out of the felt shapes and connect them with a fuzzy stick nose bridge. Hot glue either fuzzy sticks or paper straws to make the stems to sit on your ears.

Step 2

Next level glasses base - Once you’ve got the basics down, try forming some fuzzy sticks into another base shape. We’re partial to 2021, but try squares, swirls, or whatever you like!

Step 3

Decorate! Use a hot glue gun to add on fun accessories from the kit. The more sparkle the better!
