Egg Carton Holiday Wreath
Create beautiful holiday decor with recycled materials and Kid Made Modern art supplies! This wreath is created from egg cartons and decorated with pom poms and paper. Read below for a full tutorial to learn to make your own.
Materials Needed:
- Cardboard egg cartons
- Cardboard
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Washable paint
- Paintbrush
- Pom Poms
- Large Fuzzy Sticks
- Paper (sparkly or regular works, too!)
- Hot glue gun (*always ask an adult for help using hot glue!)
How To:
Step 1
Begin by drawing two concentric circles onto your cardboard. Cut them out to create a thin wreath shape. This should be about 2 inches wide and will serve as a base for your wreath!
Step 2
Cut the individual cups out of your egg carton. You can cut them into small flower shapes, or leave them as cups. Use your hot glue gun to glue them to your cardboard ring.
Step 3
Use your washable paint to paint your wreath. You can paint your wreath any colors you like! We went with a bright, festive red.
Step 4
Use craft items to decorate your wreath! You can attach items to your wreath with hot glue. We glued pom poms inside the egg cups, cut leaf shapes from sparkly paper and bent one of the large fuzzy sticks into a bow! You can also make a loop from a fuzzy stick and glue it to the back of your wreath to hang it!
