How to Celebrate Halloween at Home
Halloween may look a little different for many of us this year; but even if you can’t hit the streets to Trick or Treat, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the holiday at home. You don’t have to go far to grab a sweet fix and celebrate with friends. And of course we love to include a little art! Check out our tips for celebrating Halloween at home this year!
Have a Zoom Party with Friends!
There are so many fun activities to do with kids when you connect over Zoom. Show up in costume or make a fun and easy one together, like making Halloween Masks using our Make a Mask Kit! Serve a simple sweet treat that the kids can enjoy together. Try a fun virtual game like Bingo or a decoding game, sing some spooky karaoke, or share some ghost stories.
Include an Arts & Crafts Project
Either during your zoom party or on your own, incorporating a Halloween arts and crafts project is a great way to celebrate. Our Halloween Craft Kit or Create Your Own Haunted House Craft Kit are both tailor made for the holiday. But you can also think outside the box and make a spooky’ish STEAM project like this Articulated Hand or create a Haunted Halloween Dollhouse.
Create a Backyard Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt
Put some of those arts & crafts projects to work by placing them around your yard and hiding candy behind them. Kiddos can then embark on a candy scavenger hunt by searching for spooky creatures and the hidden sweets. You can use our Halloween Craft Kit or any of our craft kits to create extra creatures as needed -- in addition to our Haunted House, we used our Cosmic Craft Kit for our scavenger hunt.
