Make Your Own Snowman Collage

Create your own mini winter wonderland with Kid Made Modern paint, recycled materials and the Winter Craft Kit! This kit is full of sparkly, wintery pieces and will provide hours of fun. Read below for the full instructions to try this project at home!

Materials Needed

• Cardboard
• Washable paint (purple, blue and white)
• Paintbrush
• Bubble wrap
• Cardboard egg carton
• Scissors
• Small sticks
• Black and orange permanent markers
• Arts and Crafts Supply Library
• Hot glue gun (*always ask an adult for help with hot glue!)

Craft Instructions

Step 1

Cut a small rectangle from cardboard, around 6x8 inches. Give the cardboard a coat of purple, washable paint. Once that dries, use a paintbrush to add some blue and white paint to the textured side of a piece of bubble wrap. Flip the bubble wrap over and press the painted side onto the cardboard. Pull up the bubble wrap and repeat until your background is covered. Allow your paint to dry. 

Step 2

Cut three individual cups from a cardboard egg carton. Paint the cups with white washable paint. Once dry, use hot glue to glue the egg carton pieces onto your cardboard background.

Step 3

Next, use items from the Arts and Crafts Supply Library and some small sticks to decorate your snowman! You can glue sticks on as arms, cut a scarf and hat from the felt pieces, attach googly eyes and pom poms as buttons. Finally, use permanent markers to add a mouth and nose to your snowman. 

Step 4

Last, use other items to make a scene for your snowman. Bend fuzzy sticks into tree shapes and glue them onto the cardboard. Use sequins, gems and beads to add snowflakes!
